Extension of Latest Construction Completion Dates, Seabrook Station Unit 1 and Unit 2

Dear Sir:

On May 14, 1979, PSNH submitted Amendment 40 to its March 30, 1973, Application to Construct and Operate Seabrook Station. Amendment 40 requested

" Partial Transfer of Construction Permits No. CPPR-135 and CPPR-136" due to revisions in the Seabrook Station ownership allocation and also proposed revised dates for the latest construction completion dates (including the

" good cause" showing required by 10CFR50.55(b)) for Unit 1 and Unit 2.

The proposed dates for latest construction completion as requested in Amendment 40 were:

Amendment 40 (5/14/79) g()D Unit 1 June 30, 1983 June 1986 Unit 2 October 31, 1984 October 1988 A Federal Register Notice (45FR53931) addressed the revised ownership allocation of Amendment 40 but did not address the proposed dates for latest construction completion of the Seabrook units.

The purpose of this letter is to again request that you authorize the Construction Permit extension request included in Amendment 40 to the Application to Construct and Operate Seabrook Station.
