Seabrook Station FSAR RAIs 230.7 and 230.8, Request for NRC Assistance
Dear Sir:
The subject FSAR RAIs requested information on the January 9,1982 New Brunswick earthquake sequence and the January 18, 1982 Franklin, New Ilampshire earthquake.
It is our understanding that the U. S. Geological Survey (Menlo Pa r k, Calif ornia) has possession of the strong motion recordings from the New Brunswick event s.
It is our further understanding that the U. S. Army Engineer's Waterways Experiment Station, Vicksburg, Mississippi, has possession of the records f rom the Franklin, New Ilampshire event.
To facilitate our response to your FSAR RAIs (230.7 and 230.8), it is necessary that we obtain the appropriate earthquake records f rom the U. S.
Ceological Survey and the U. S. Army Engineers.
Accordingly, we request your assistance in obtaining these recordings by contacting the above agencies.
Upon receipt of this information, we will proceed with preparation of our responses to the subject RAIs.
