20555 Gencicment Subjects Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station Docket No. 50-219 Change-in SRO License Status During 1988, CPUN instituted the Operations Resident Student Program to enhar e Operations Department shift crews with degreed individuals.
As a continuation of this program, Group Operating Supervisor (GOS) Thomae Lonsdale, NRC SRO License No. SOP-10798, Docket No. 55-7695, has been selected to participate in this program.
Mr. Lonsdale commenced classes at Rutgers University on a full timo-basis on January 22, 1991.
Mr. Lonsdale will not actively participate in the Oyster Creek Licensed Operator Requalification procrnin; Sor will he be administered a biennial requalification exam.
Mr. LonrGie will'kaap current with Oyster Creek plant status by standing two instructional watches per month during this period. Upon completion of his college degree requirements it. approx'mately 3 years, Mr. Lonsdale will be enrolled in the Accelerated Requalification Program and be required to pass a comprehensive requalification exam and detailed plant walk-through.
Prior to returning to active license. status, Mr. Lonsdale will meet the requirements set forth in 10 CFR 55.53(f)(1 and 2).
