Reference (1) provided the NRC Safety :: valuation and concluded that OPU Nuc1bar's response to NRC Bulletit. 90-02 for the 0;utoming Cycle 13 was satisfactory with the following condition:
Following End of Cycle (EOC) 12, measured data from EOC 12 reused char.nels destined to be used in operating cycle 13, be compared to predicted EOC 12 calculated data for the purpose of verification anJ possible modification of the analytical channel box bow model.
The renults of this comparison and any modifications tc be made to the model, should be submitted to the NRC for review.
In addition, its application to any future channel reuse must be evaluated on a cycle specific basis.
GPU Nuclear agrees to comply with the above condition and will submit to the NRC the required comparison and any required model modificatione 60 days after the measured data 10 obtained.
However, GPUN believen that future channel reuse can be evaluated on a generic baele rather than a cycle specific basis.
In.either case, GPUN recognir.ee that NRC approval beyond Cycle 13 is required.
