SUPPLEMEtCAL TESTIMONY OF ALEX GROMACK ON BEHALF OF RCSE l The following is supporting data to testimony given by Alex Gromack, June 7,1982.

There are a majority of recreational programs (public and private) which are held within the 10 mile EPZ. The following is a list of facilities that are frequently used for re-creational programs: .

Clarkstown North High School Woodglen Elementary School Chestnut Grove Elementary School Valley Cottage Elementary School Congers Elementary School Congers Community Center ,

Lakewood Elementary School Rockland Project School Laurel Plains Elementary School Rockland Country Day School Link Elementary School St. Augustine's School Little Tor Elementary School St. Paul's School New City Elementary School Rockland Lake Park Street School Community Center Also, there are certain facilities that are just outside the 10 mile EPZ that do serve many people within the 10 mile zone, e.g. Germonds Park -- had over 4,000 residents on June 13, 1981 present for the opening of the pool. Another example: the annual July 2,1981 Concert anc' Fire Works -- had over 6,000 residents in attendance at the Nanuet High School.

These are just two examples of events attracting many thousands of residents who live within the 10 mile EPZ to a facility which is located as little as one mile outside of the EPZ. .

)

l Examples of activities that use the many facilities within the 10 mile EPZ are (statistical figures of attendance attached):

1 T-Shirt Baseball Kids Dog Show Basketball Open Gyms Big Wheel Rally Summer Playgrounds Physical Fitness Pre-school Programs Camping Program Sr. Citizen Activities Community Center Programs & Activities Softball Football Soccer Winter Sports Swimming Programs Goblin Parade Special Events Ice Skating Instructional Programs 8302180384 830214 PDR ADOCK 05000247 PDR
