Fort Calhoun Station Updated Safety Analysis Report (USAR)
Omaha Public Power District recently identified a typographical error in section 14.14.4(7) of the Fort Calhoun Station USAR which was provided to the Commission by letter dated July 22, 1982.
The discrepancy concerns the thyroid dose listed for the exclusion area boundary (EAB) which is listed as 6.20 E+00 Rems. The District has investigated this matter and has determined that due to a typographical error, the correct value should be 6.2 E+01 Rems.
This higher value was utilized in the District's analysis for this section and does not affect the conclusions stated therein.
The District has also identified several minor location discrepancies on Figures 2.10-2 and 2.10-3 of the USAR involving Fort Calhoun Station environmental radiological sampling points.
The District will correct these discrepancies, together with the EAB thyroid dose typographical error, during the 1983 annual update of the USAR which is to be issued in July.
