DOCKET N05, 50 445 AND 50 446 FSAR AMENOMENT 81 DESCRIPTION Gentlement Amendment 81 to the CPSES FSAR, effective March 15, 1991, was transmitted to you under aIseparate cover letter TXX 91098, dated March 21, 1991.
The attachment to this letter provides line by line descriptions of the changes in Amendment 81.
FSAR pages which do not have technical changes but are included in the amendment (because they are the opposite side of the sheet from a page that was changed, because the change shifted the existing material to another page or because only editorial changes were made on these pages) are not discussed in the attachment.
A substantial portion of this amendment is devoted to the " cleanup" of many of the mechanicel systems FSAR figures.
This " cleanup" consists primarily of reducing the amount of minor detail contained in those figures.
The criteria used i,i reducing this detail were the subject of a meeting with the NRC on day 7, 1990, and were subsequently described in an NRC letter dated May 15, 1990.
Also included in this amendment are changes previously transmitted in letters TXX 91061, dated February 20, 1991, describing quality assurance organizational changes and TXX 91102, dated March 6, 1991, describing environmental qualification program changes.
As has been the TU Electric practice in the past several FSAR amendments, all changes described in the attachment have been evaluated for relative significance (i.e., the group number 1, 2, 3 or 4 following each change justification as discussed in TU Electric letter TXX 88467 dated June 1, 1988),
