VlHGINIA ELECTRIC AND POWER COMPANY UORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT 1 STEAM GENER ATOR TUBE PLUGGING REPORT North Anna Unit 1 recently completed its 1991 refueling outage. During the cutage, we completed eddy current examination of all three steam generators. As required by Technical Specification 4.4.5.5.a, this letter provides a summary of the tube plugging activities performed during the outage.

Attachment 1 provides a listing of those tubes that were plugged during the outage due to eddy current indications. In addition to the tube: plugged due to indications, several other tube plug related activities were accomplisned during the outage. Due to the concern for tube plug integrity, tube plugs with suspect heat numbers were removed and new plugs installed. Attachment 2 provides a listing of tubes for which the plugs were replaced. Also, several tubes had previously been plugged with sentinel plugs as a preventative measure due to a concern for susceptibility for U-bend fatigue. The plugs for most of these tubes were removed and the tubes returned to service. Attachment 3 provides a listing of those tubes from which plugs were removed. These tubes were previously identified in our letter to the NRC, Serial No.90-274, dated June 21,1990. This letter informed the NRC of our intent and provided justification for removal of these plugs and returning the tubes to service. Attachment 4 provides a summary of the current tube plugging levels in each steam generator.
