NPF-10 The U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (the Coumission) has issued Amendment flo.12 to Facility Operating License flo. NPF-10, issued to Southern California Edison Company, San Diego Gas and Electric Company, The City of Riverside, California and The City of Anahein, California (licensees) for the San Onofre fluclear Generating Station, Unit 2 (the facility) located in San Diego County, California.
This anendment is effective December 22, 1982.
Amendment No.12 changes the technical specifications to allow the non-critical component cooling water (CClf) loop to circulate water to the reactor coolant pumps after safety injection initiation. The~non-critical CCll loop will still be required to isolate on high containment pressure, Issuance of this amendnent complies with the standards and requirements of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended (the Act), and the Comission's l
regulations. The Connission has made appropriate findings as required by the Act c.nd the Cmnission's regulations in 10 CFR Chapter I, which are set forth j
in the license anendnent.
Prior public notice of this amendeent was not required since the anendnent does 9t involve a significant hazards consideration.
