on March 24, 1981, Philadelphia Electric Company, Licensee under Facility Operating License DPR-44 and DPR-56 for Peach Bottom Units 2 and 3, filed an Application for Amendment of the Licenses which requested that Table 3.ll.D.1, titled " Safety Related Shock Suppressors", of the Technical Specifications 1

contained in Appendix A of the Operating Licenses be amended to conform with the Standa,rd Technical Specifications as required by Mr. D. G. Eisenhut's [[letter::05000277/LER-1980-025-03, /03L-0:on 801103,setpoints on DPIS 2-13-83 & DPIS 2-13-84 (Redundant Reactor Core Isolation Cooling Turbine Steam Line High Flow DPIS Instrumentation) Exceeded Tech Specs.Caused by Setpoint Drift.Instruments Recalibr|letter dated November 20, 1980]].

Subsequently, licensee revised its application of March 24, 1981, by Amendment dated August 6, 1981 to reflect shock suppressor modifications.

Licensee has recently installed additional shock suppressors on the main steam relief valve discharge pipes to bring the pipe support design into conformance with the requirements of NUREG 0661, Safety Evaluation Report, Mark I Containment, Long Term Program.

The modification involves the installation of sixteen new mechanical snubbers to the main steam relief valve discharge piping.

Accordingly, the licensee hereby amends its application of March 24, 1981, as amended August 6, 1981, by revising Table 3.ll.D.1 for Unit 2 (revised pages 234r, and 234s) in accordance with the provisions of section 3.ll.D.5 of the Peach Bottom Technical Specifications to reflect the installation of additional shock suppressors.

Tbc proposed revisions to pages 234m (Units 2 and 3),

234o (Unit 2), and 234p (Unit 3), correct typographical errors in the designation numbers for shock suppressors (snubbers) listed in Table 3.ll.D.l.

's The Plant Operation Review Committee and the Operation and Safety Review Committee have reviewed these proposed changes l

to the Technical Specifications, and have concluded that they do not involve an unreviewed safety question or a significant hazard consideration and will not endanger the health and safety of the public.
