SUMMARY
In accordance with the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 10, Part 50.90 and Part 2.101, Carolina Power & Light Company (CP&L) hereby requests revisions to the Technical Specifications (TS) for the Brunswick Steam Electric Plant (BSEP) Unit Nos. I and 2.
DISCUSSION A review of the Brunswick TS has identified certain TS items for which revisions are needed.
These revisions (1) provide a clarification of certain TS requirenents, (2) provide editorial corrections of certain TS requirements, and (3) provide TS changes to reflect consistency with the actual plant design.
The revisions are discussed in detail in the attachments.
ADMINISTRATIVE INFORMATION Enclosed are separate attachments for the proposed TS revisions, each of which includes a discussion of the unit-specific applicability, a description of the item changed, the basis for the proposed change, and retyped TS pages reflecting the proposed revisions.
The revisions on the enclosed TS pages are indicated by vertical lines in the right-hand nargin.
We have evaluated this request in accordance with the criteria in 10 JFR 170.22 and have determined that this submittal constitutes a Class I and a Class II license amendment request for Brunswick-1 and Brunswick-2.
Therefore, our check for $1,600 is enclosed in payment of the required fees.
