POSSIBLE MALFUNCTION OF NAMC0 MODEL EA180 LIMIT SWITCHES AT Ei EVATED TEMPERATURES, IE BULLETIN 79-28 FAILURES OF SOLEN 0ID VALVES MANUFACTURED CY YALCOR ENGINEERING CORPORATION, IE BULLETIN 80-23 NORTH ANNA UNIT 3 In our letter Serial No. 508, dated September 1,1982, we indicated that we planned to submit final reports on the captioned bulletins by October 31, 1982. The information provided below resolves the issues left open by that letter; this, therefore, is our final report for these two bulletins.
IE BULLETIN 79-28 B&W has confirmed that they have not supplied any NAMC0 EA180 limit switches for North Anna Unit 4 valves as well as Unit 3 valves.
S&W has determined that the suspect limit switches have not been supplied by any " packaged" equipment vendors for North Anna Units 3 and 4.
IE BULLETIN 80-23 B&W has confirmed that they have not supplied any solenoid valves manufactured by Valcor for North Anna Unit 4 as well as Unit 3.
S&W has detennined that the suspect solenoid valves (Part Nos. V70900-21-1 and V70900-21-3) have not been supplied by any " packaged" equipment vendors for North Anna Units 3 and 4.

We have taken steps to ensure that the faulty equipment, described in the captioned bulletins, is not, in the future, specified or purchased for use on North Anna Unit 3.
