This is to document information provided to you via telephone on December 2, 1982 concerning the Omaha Publi. Power District's Emergency Operations Facility (E0F). A conceptual design covering much of this information was provided in the District's June 1,1981 letter.

E0F Construction Schedule a)

Bid award date - February 18, 1982.

Construction commenced - April 13, 1982.

c)

Construction completed - October 1, 1982.

2)

Type of Construction Single storied pre-engineered insulated metal clad building.

3)

E0F Location 17 miles from the Fort Calhoun Station site.

4)

Interim EOF Location At the Fort Calhoun Station site.

5)

Backup E0F Location 17 miles from the Fort Calhoun Station site.

(Backup E0F used in conjunction with the interim EOF.

Backup E0F will be deactivated upon activation of the new EOF.)

EOF Habitability The new E0F is located outside of the ten mile radius; therefore, radiological habitability requirements are not applicable.

Page Two The new EOF is presently being activated and we anticipate that com-munications will be installed within the next one to two months, at which time the EOF will be declared operational.

In the interim, the existing E0F is operational. We plan to notify your office upon acti-vation of the new E0F.
