Dear Mr. Keppler:
This is to confirm a verbal report which was given to Mr. N. E. DuBry of your office at 1605 hours0.0186 days <br />0.446 hours <br />0.00265 weeks <br />6.107025e-4 months <br /> on April 20, 1983. At that time Mr. DuBry was informed that the Waste Gas Holdup System had exceeded the oxygen and hydrogen limits imposed by Technical Specification 3.11.2.5 for a time period in excess of the forty-eight (48) hours allowed by Action Item 'a' of that Specification. We are attempting to bring the system into the required concentration at this time.
A proposed change to Technical Specification 3.11.2.5 is presently under review by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (via letter AEP:NRC:
0055I) which will increase the oxygen concentration limit. Completion of this review is anticipated by April 22, 1983.
If the proposed Specification has not been approved within fourteen (14) days from today's date, a follow-up report will be subm.itted in accordance with Technical Specification 6.9.1.12b.
