RESOLUTION OF TMI ACTION ITEM II.k.3.5 AUTOMATIC TRIP 0F REACTOR C0OLANT PUMPS (GENERIC LETTER 83-10a)
The Washington Public Power Supply System is in receipt of the subject Generic letter and pursuant to the schedule contained therein hereby responds with the requested information concern-ing Washington Nuclear Project Number 3 (WNP-3).
The WNP-3 NSSS, a standard 3800 MWT System 80 plant, is designed and manufactured by Combustion Engineering Inc. (CE).
WNP-3 is represented on and provides funding for various activities of the CE Owners Group. One of the CE Owners Group activities subscribed to by WNP-3 concerns the resolution of TMI Action Item II.k.3.5.
WNP-3 will follow the development of the generic Owners Group submittal on treatment of Reactor Coolant Pumps during trans-ients and accidents. It is our intent to reference this submit-tal as the technical basis for t'NP-3 specific actions concern-ing this issue.
