SUMMARY

OF CONSUMERS POWER COMPANY COMMENTS ON SSER 2 The Supplement No 2 to the Midland Safety Evaluation Report (SER), NUREG-0793, was issued by the NRC in October 1982. Consumers Power Company has reviewed this supplement to the Midland SER and would like to offer its comments and recommendations which resulted from our review. At your request, the enclosed comments are offered as a clarification of the information already documented in Supplement No 2 to the SER, as modified by the subsequent NRC Staff testimony to the ASLB Hearing Board. Our recommendations covering both technical comments and minor editorial comments included in the enclosure are arranged and identified by SER subsection numbers.
