Three 'dfle Island Nuclear Station, Unit 1 (TMI-1)
Operating License No. DPR-50 Docket No. 50-289 GPUN Operational Quality Assurance Plan Enclosed please find twelve (12) copics of the GPUN Operational Quality Assurance (0QA) Plan for TMI-1 and Oyster Creek Nuclear Generating Station.
This document replaces in its entirety the existing OQA Plan (Rev. 9) for TMI-1 and describes the formal and comprehensive plan to assure compliance with 10 CFR 50, App. B; 10 CFR 71, App. E; and applicable Regulatory Guides.
The changes to the OQA Plan from Rev. 9 include the following:
(1) The reporting authority of the chemistry and metallurgical laboratory has been changed from the Vice President Nuclear Assur-ance to the Vice President Technical Functions.
(2) The titic of Materials Technology has been changed to Special Processes and Prog; rams.
(3) The Manager - QA Design and Procurement and the Manager - QA Mod / Ops are now both responsible to " review engineering specifications and procurement documents -- " depending upon where these documents are originated.
(4) The Safety review process i.e., 10SRC has been changed to be consistent with the TMI Technical Specifications.
Q (5) The Regulatory Guide positions changed as follows:
