Containment Isolation on High Radiation Your correspondence dated January 17, 1983 stated that your review of NUPEG 0737, specifically item II.E.4.2.(7),
Containment Isolation on High Radiation, is continuing and that to date no formal decision has been nade.
Please he advised that our position on this item, previously submitted to you on February 25, 1982, has not changed. We feel that ample justification was provided to support our decision for not providing automatic closure of the containment vent and purge valves on a containment high radiation signal. We are awaiting the final staff decision.
Should you determine modifications are l
i required at the Oyster Creek facility, they cannot be scheduled until the Cycle 11 refueling outage.
