Dear Mr. Keppler:
As stated in our interin report to you, dated November 3, 1980, an inspection was to be conducted to evaluate a potential link rod deficiency in the Standby Diesel Generators supplied by Transamerica Delaval to the Perry Nuclear Power Plant Proj ec t. A final report outlining the results of this inspection and proposed corrective action, was to be submitted to you by Dececher 1, 1981.
It has been determined by the Perry Project Organization that this inspection will now be conduc ted during engine crankshaf t deflec tion testing. This activity has been rescheduled due to delays in the completion of diesel engine installation.
It is now esticated that this inspection will be completed by June 1, 1982.
A final report on this subject will be submitted by this date.
