TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE REQUEST NO. 124 The Licensee requests that the attached pages replace pages 3-65, 3-66, and 3-69 of the existing Technical Specifications.
REASONS FOR CHANGE REQUEST Four new snubbers were installed in the plant as a result of either Restart piping modifications er system upgrade due to piping reanalyses performed in response to NRC IE Bulletin 79-14.
Since these snubbers are considered to support safety related. piping, they are being added to Table 3.16.1 of the Technical Specifications.
Additionally, the licensee proposes that snubbers RC-20, RC-21, and RC-22 be deleted from Table 3.16.1 of the TMI Technical Specifications. These snubbers served to support the pressurizer loop seal fill piping which was removed when a plant modification relocated the pressurizer code safety valves to the top of the pressurizer without the loop seal configuration.
SAFETY EVALUATION JUSTIFYING CHANGE The changes made per the proposed revision will increase the probability that all safety related snubbers will be operable. Therefore, no unreviewed safety question or environmental concern is involved.
LICENSE AMENDMENT FEE (10 CFR 170.22)
This change is an administrative change (Class II) since it only updates Table 3.16.1 of the Technical Specifications to reflect the current plant configuration.
A check for $1,200.00 is enclosed.
IMPLEMENTATION SCHEDULE PERIOD Please allow 30 days to implement this change upon receipt of the amendment.
