actions taken regarding the review of radicgraphs of welds as requested by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission IE,Bulletin 82-01, Revision 1, Supplement 1.
A review was conducted of ITT Gr,innell radiographs for shop fabricated ASME III Code Class 1 and 2 spool pie:es hcAng a wall thickness of 1/2 inch or less for those radiographs on ' site as of4Navember 24, 1982. Radiographs not on site as of November 24, 1982 will be' reviewed prior to shipment or upon receipt.

Since soaie of these radiographs were found to be enhanced, this matter was reported to the NRC as a potentially reportable deficfericy under 10CFR50.55(?).
The following provides the information specifically requested by the Bulletin under Action to Be Taken by Holder of Active Construction Permits:
A review of ITT Grinnell radiographs that were at the job site as of November 24, 1982 has been conducted. As a result, forty-two welds (involving 70-radiograph film) showed enhancement.
ITT Grinnell has been airected to perform complete reradiography on these forty-two welds.
If reradiography is not possible due to present configuration, an engineering disposition will be made and the necessary corrective action will be implemented.

Page 2 The radiographs that are located at the ITT Grinnell facility in Kernersville, North Carolina are to be reviewed by Stone & Webster Engineering Corporation Quality Assurance personnel prior to shipment.
If any of these radiographs are found to be enhanced, the necessary corrective action will be initiated.
Records reflecting the review findings, disposition of identified discrepancies and radiographic film review status are located at the job site and are available for Nuclear Regulatory Commission review.
