On December 2, 1982, NRC's Project Manager for Carolina Power &

Light Company's (CP&L) Brunswick Plant verbally requested that certain information be confirmed to NRC via letter. The requested information is in regard to the Faergency Operations Facility (EOF).

The enclosure to this letter summarizes the requested information and our responses. The information provided in the enclosure is based on our understanding of SECY 82-111.

On-site What is the back-up EOF location?

Response: None planned. The primary EOF is designed to the same criteria as the Technical Sapport Center and will provide acceptable habitability for occupants.

Response: The interim primary EOF location is the Training Building.

The interim back-up EOF is the Bolivia County Offices which is approximately 12 miles from the plant site.
