In accordance with 10CfRb0.90, South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G) j is submitting an amendment request to License NPF-12 to change the Technical  ;

Specifications (15) for the Virgil C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS). The proposed amendment is a revision to TS requirement for the main steam code safety valves. The request is contained in the following attachments:

Attachment 1 The Technical Specification pages with the requested ,

changes indicated. l Attachment 2 Description of Amendment Request and Safety Evaluation.

Attachment 3 Description of Amendment Request and No Significant 1 Hazards Deterrc.ination.

Attachment 4 Supporting documents.

SCELG has scheduled the next refueling outage to begin in September 1991.

Because of the potential impact on the outage schedule SCE&G requests that this proposed amendment be processed for implementation ky June 1, 1991. i These changes have been reviewed and approved by the Plant Safety Review l Committee and the Nuclear Safety Review Committee.
