U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washingten, DC 20555 Gentlemen:

Subject:

VIRGIL C. SUMMER HUCLEAR STATION DOCKET NO. 50/395 OPERATING LICENSE NO. NPF-12 ADMINISTRATIVE CORRECTION TO AMENDMENT N0. 93 REGAR0 LNG DIESEL FUEL OIL MONITORING (TSP 890003-4) (TAC NO. 74823)

On October 31, 1990, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission ,ued Amendment No. 93 to the Virgli C. Summer Nuclear Station (VCSNS) Technical Specifications. Amendment No. 93 revised Surveillance Requirement (SR) 4.8.1.1.2 " Electrical Power Systems," regarding diesel fuel oil storage, monitoring, sampling, and analysis. Specifically, the Amendment replaced the requirements for fuel oil verification in SR 4.8.1.1.2(c) with the corresponding requirements in NUREG-0452, "Standaru Technical Specifications for Westinghouse Pressurized Water Reactors."

In the July 27, 1989, application for Amendment No. 93 submitted by South Carolina Electric & Gas Company (SCE&G), the requirements in SR 4.8.1.1.2(c) were replaced with the three corresponding requirements (4.8.1.1.2(c), (d),

^

and (e)) delineated in NUREG-0452. This resulted in SRs 4.8.1.1.2 (d) (e),

(f),and(g)beingre-letteredto4.8.1.1.2(f).(g),(h),and(i),

respectively. After receipt of Amendment No. 93. SCE&G discovered two specifications which reference the re-lettered SRs but which were not marked-up to reflect this reference in the amendment application. As such, SCE&G requests Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) approval to make the administrative changes to these specifications. Attachment I provides the subject Technical Specifications, marked-up to show the necessary revisions.

Attachment.Il contains the same pages, revised to reference the cP rect specifications.

These changes are administrative. and in no way affect the NRC's no significant hazards determination concerning Amendment No. 93. The attached revisions merely bring the Technical Specifications into conformity with the intent of Amendment No. 93, 0102070313 910201 3 FDR ADOCK 0500039'3 g\ )
