Dear Mr. Seidle:
This letter provides an interim report on a 10CFR50.55(e) item concerning post-accident errors in the reactor coolant wide range pressure instruments. This item was first reported to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) on April 7, 1982, by Westinghouse, and subsequently reported to NRC Region IV on April 8, 1982, by Kansas Gas and Electric Company. Interim status reports were submitted in References 1) and 2). This item is also the subject of Information Notice No. 82-11.
The evaluation of this concern is nearing completion and it is anticipated that a final report on this subject will be submitted in early 1983. In any event, the final report or an interim status report will be submitted on or before March 1, 1983.
