DOCKET NOS. 50 445 AND 50 446 REVISED COMPLETION DATE FOR INSPECTION REPORT ITEM 50 445/8943 34 AND 50-446/8943 34 REF:
TV Electric letter from W. J. Cahill, Jr.
to U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission logged TXX 89716 dated October 2, 1989.
Gentlemen:
TV Electric provided a response to the subject improvement item 8943 34 in the referenced correspondence.
The impro, ament item suggested that emergency dose assessment program should be enhanced with a " segmented plume atmospheric dispersion model that will take wind shifts into account." The response provided a schedule of December 31, 1990, to purchase, install, and train personnel (initially).
However, due to technical constraints, the purchase and insta11ation of a Class A+ model dose assessment system is not expected until December 31, 1991, with the initial training to be completed over the course of 1992.
Sincerely.
William J. Cahill, Jr.
