Diesel Generator Bolt Torque
Dear Mr. Seidle:
The purpose of this letter is to provide a status report on the potentially loose stud / nut combinations in the diesel generators at Wolf Creek Generating Station. This matter was reported to Region IV of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission on June 14, 1982, by Kansas Gas and Electric Company and subsequent status reports were submitted in References 1) and 2).
The rework plan for the inspection and retorquing of the stud / nut combinations in question has been finalized and seat to the job site.
The work will be scheduled when compatible with other work in progress.
The status of the inspection and evaluation will be reported on or before June 6, 1983.
In the interim, please direct any questions con-cerning this subject to me or to Mr. Otto Maynard of my staff.
