Dear Mr. Haass:
During the initial review of our " Topical Report-North Anna Unit 3 - Quality Assurance Program - Construction Phase" (VEP-2),
Mr. Jack Spraul of your office advised Mr. Clark of our Quality Assurance Department that the referenced report does not qualify as a " topical report" because this document is not generic in
- nature, i.e.,
representative of more than one nuclear facility construction project.
Further discussion between Mr.
Spraul and Mr.
Clark disclosed that the review process could proceed if the word
" topical" was deleted from the title and content of the report.
A pea and ink change to our letter which requested the initial review, Vepco Serial No. 364, was made at that time.
It is our intent to remove the word " topical" from the report in its final form.
Further, we would like to formally document the new title of our report as:
" North Anna Unit 3-Quality Assurance Program - Construction Phase" The close cooperation exhibited by Mr.
Spraul in the resolution of.this matter is very much appreciated. Should other areas of concern become apparent, please contact us at your earliest convenience.
