This letter is in response to your letter which conveyed the results and conclusions of the Operational Safeguards Response Evaluation (OSRE) conducted by the NRC's Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation at the Prairie Island Plant from September 20 through 23, 1993. NSP's responses to the observation and concerns noted in the OSRE report are specifically addressed in Attachments A through H.
NSP reviewed the identified observation and concerns to determine the potential need for corrective action. Based on this review, it was determined *' at various degrees of corrective action were warranted to strengthen the prograr at Prairie Island. NSP's corrective actions are specifically outlined within Atcachment A to this letter. Attachments B trough H are provided to support or clarify the corrective actions noted in Attachment A.
These Attachments contain Safeguards Information as identified by the Commission in 10 CFR Part 73, Section 73.21.
