Mr. O. D. Parr, Chief Light Water Reactors Branch No. 3 Docket No. 50-338 Division of Project Management U. S. Nuclear Regulatory Comission License No. NPF-4 Washington, DC 20555 1
Dear Mr. Denton:
AMENDMENT 9 OPERATING LICENSE NPF-4 NORTH ANNA POWER STATION UNIT NO.1
' SUPPLEMENT TO PROPOSED TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION CHANGE NO.15 By our letter Serial No. 565 dated October 13, 1978, we proposed certain changes to the Technical Specifications for North Anna Unit No.1, resulting from our detailed study of instrument setpoints and setpoint al-lowables for each Reactor Protection System and Engineered Safeguards Fea-tures instrumentation channel. The results of our study had been previously
{
submitted on September 29, 1978.
As a result of further review of the present Technical Specifications and the setpoint study, another revision has been determined to be necessary.
This revision is attached and specifies that the maximum trip points for the
)
l overpower and overtemperature AT reactor trips shall not exceed the computed trip points by more than 2 percent span. This change is consistent with the I
setpoints and allowables presented in our September 29 report.
This proposed change has been reviewed and approved by the Station Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee and the System Nuclear Safety and Operating Committee.
Very truly yours, Mb C. M. Stallings Vice President-Power Supply and Production Operations Attachment Supplement to Technical Specification Change No. 15 cc:
