( Gentlemen:

This letter is in regard to your letter of October 25, 1978, requesting written confirmation of data provided via phone relative to Midland Hospital Association.

Information which was provided to you via a telephone conversation on September 12, 1978, was taken from the 1978 Annual Survey of Hospitals and reflected 1977 data as provided by the Midland Hospital Association on April 2,1978.

Our office is not in a position to verify the accuracy of information obtained via the survey and we suggest that contact be made with the hospital officials for such verification. We are able only to confirm that information on file is data provided by the hospitals.

In regard to the specific information for which confirmation was f requested, please note the following clarifications:

The survey reflects a reported:

A. 17 part-time and 101 full-time "other health professional and technical personnel".

B. 312 full-time and 176 part-time "all other non-health professional and technical personnel".

C. 10,369 admissions and 78,763 patient days for 1977 for all I inpatient services, including acute care, longterm care, psychiatric, I

drug and alcohol abuse units.

1 D. 29,873 emergency room visits in 1977.
