Dear Mr. O'Reilly:

Our letter Serial No. 3233 dated June 15, 1977, forwarded two reports for your infomation and files. The reports addressed possible damage to ertedded reinforcing steel during installation of drilled-in anchors. One report addressed the reactor containment and the other addressed Seismic Class I structures other than the Reactor Containnents and Auxiliary Building.

A pmvious report submitted December 29, 1976 dealt with the Auxiliary Building.

At the time of our June submittal, no evaluations had been conducted on the steam generator cubicle floor slab ano supporting colums in Unit 2.

That infomation is now available and is fontarded with this letter for your infomation and files.

As with all previous reports on this subject, we believe these results demonstrate conclusively that any damage to embedded reinforcing steel during installation of drilled-in anchors for pipe supports does not prevent these Seismic class I structures from performing their intended function within the criteria established for their design.

If you require any further information concerning these reports, please contact us. We plan no further correspondence on this subject.
