Description of defect, deficiency, or failure to comoly:

A similar facility utilizing Westingbouse APDMS hardware for cal-culating the LOCA peaking factor shape limits, discovered a non-conservative error in the computer software which determined the alarm setpoint envelope. This error is caused by a calculational round off which could increase the setpoint above the desired value by as much as 1.1%.
