COMANCHE PEAK STEAM ELECTRIC STATION FITNESS FOR DUTY

SUMMARY

OF MANAGEMENT ACTION Six Months Ending December 31, 1993 On October 4, 1993, TU Electric reported to the NRC by telephone I

under 10CFR26.73, a

significant Fitness For Duty event.

A contractor supervisor was determined by the Medical Review Officer to have a Positive Random Drug / Alcohol Test for marijuana. The individual was denied Unescorted Access and returned to his employer.

The individual supervised work associated with the modification of an office building on site.

After a review, TU Electric Senior Management determined there was no safety impact on the operation of the plant. On November 2,

1993, 'a substance believed to be marijuana was discovered prior to entry into the Protected Area during the search of a vendor's truck cab in the Sally Port.

The local Law Enforcement Agency.was notified and the individual and the substance were released to a local law Enforcement Officer.

The event was. reported to the Region IV Office of the.NRC, I
