Dear Mr. Denton:
This is in ren ponse to Generic Letter No.82-16 concerning NUREG-0737 Technical Specifications. Most of the Technical Specifications proposed in the generic letter have already been incorporated for McGuire Unit 1.
Additionally, the McGuire Unit 1 Technical Specifications will be upgraded to the latest NRC requirements and combined with McGuire Unit 2 Technical Specifications upon issuance of the McGuire Unit 2 operating license, presently scheduled for March, 1983. Therefore, we propose that a separate license amendment for McGuire Unit 1 to incorporate the remaining Technical Specifications proposed in the generic letter is not necessary.
