Interim 10CFR 50.55(e) Report; Solid State Protection System Power Surge
Dear Str:
On August 5, 1982, a potentially reportable 10CFR50.55(e) item w as re po rted [Re f e re nce (b)] regarding power surges in the solid state protection system which may disable a protection circuit.
Previously, on August 4, 1982, we were notified by Westinghouse that this item could potentially effect Construction Permit holders with Westinghouse NSSS, and was therefore re po rt ed under 10CFR50.55(e) to the NRC Of fice of Inspection and Enforcement.
The applicability of this item to Seabrook [and thus its reportability or non-reportability under 10 CFR50.55(e)] will be reported to Region I by October 15, 1982.
This report is being filed pursuant to the interim reporting provision of 10CRF50.55(e)(3).
