McGuire Nuclear Station, Unit i Docket Number 50-369 Core Operating Limits Report for Cycle 9, Revision 2 Please find attached, pursuant to McGuire Technical Specification 6.9.1.9, revision 2 to the Core Operating Limits Report for McGuire Unit 1 Cycle 9.
This revision adds an information note to the rod insertion limits curve, figure 2, specifying that a penalty to the curve is required if the unit's power becomes limited by the main turbine (i.e.
main turbine throttle valve fully open and reactor power still less than 100%). This penalty is 2.3 steps per percent power below 100% to which the reactor power is limited.
