Pursuant to our discussions at the IPC-NRC management meeting conducted on August 9, 1982, at the Illinois Power Visitor's Center in Clinton, Illinois, we are submitting the IP Quality Program-Update for your review and con..urrence.
This document updates and further describes our Quality Recovery Program discussed with you on July 12, 1982 and documented in your July 27, 1982 letter regarding the meeting (Report No. 50-461/
82-12 (DRRP)).
I would like to reemphasize that the intent of our presentation at this last meetin'g was to:
i e Demonstrate that in-process work has been restricted and is under control.
e Review the QC backlog on in-process work and progress being made toward reducing the backlog.
e Review progress of Stop Work Orders and of the Recovery Team's Plan for addressing identified i
quality concerns.
We intend to keep you advised of our progress in accomplishing L
our objectives as outlined during the meeting presentation.
Our proj ect is totally dedicated towards addressing the quality issues in the planning and execution of our recovery plan.
