Environmental Qualification of Safety-Related Electrical Equipment
Dear Sir:
In response to your letter, dated March 17, 1982, we are providing you with additional information relative to environmental qualification of equipment associated with the NUREG-0737 sections addressed below.
IIE4.1 Dedicated Hydrogen Penetrations:
The equipment installed which addresses this requirement is that which is listed on the Master List under Containment Atmosphere Dilution System.
Documentation for equipment on CAD worksheets was submitted in Reference (c).
IIK3.13 Separation of HPCI and RCIC System Initiation Levels, Analysis, and Implementation:
No changes were made relative to separation of HPCI/RCIC initiation levels, based on the BWR Owners Group position.
IIK3.15 Modify Break-Detection Logic to Prevent Spurious Isolation of HPCI and RCIC:
8 Relative to HPCI/RCIC steam line isolation, changes were made to electrical equipment.
However, in the RCIC System, the f Q changes involved the addition of timers in the Control Room which is a mild environment; and in the HPCI System, the vendor 8205040664 820430 PDR ADOCK 05000271 P

IIK3.19 Interlock on Recirculation Pump Loops:
The recirculation. pump interlock requirement does not apply to Vermont Yankee.
IIK3.21 Restart of Chre Spray and LPCI: Systems:
Relative to core spray ~ and LPCI auto restart,; no changes were -
made at Vermont Yankee based on the BWR Owners Group position.

11K3.27 Provide Common Reference Level'for' Vessel Level Instrumentation:
To provide a common reference for reactor water level, only the meter indicator scales were changed. The associated
. safety-related level transmitters, which were not modified for TMI, are on Worksheet PAM-5, and documentation was submitted in Reference (e)
