Dear Mr. Denton:
Pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a(g), enclosed for NRC staff use and review are ten copies of Revision 3 (dated August 17, 1982) to the McGuire Nuclear Station (Unit 1) Pump and Valve Inservice Testing Program. This comprehensive revision reflects the re-sults of meetings held March 23-25, 1982 between Duke Power Company and EG&G Idaho, Inc. which has been performing a detailed review of the program under contract to the NRC.
Note that the revision replaces the current program in its entirety. Note also that the program has been upgraded to the 1980 edition of the ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code.
It is Duke Power Company's intent to implement this revised program on an interim basis pending approval by the NRC.
By copy of this letter, one copy of the above document is also being provided to NRC-Region II.
