We have reviewed Amendment No. 62, Revis:.on '* 1, Environmental Report, Operating License Stage, Midland Project, Midland County, Michigan (ER 80/1072). The following ocm ents are offered for your consideration.

2.2.2.4 Consumers Power Company's Pilot Invesigstions -

Will the data presented in the report. Suavey and Evaluaticn of the Water Quality, Tittabawassee River, Near Midiand, Micnigan 1978 - 1979, prepared by Central Michigan University, April 1979, te incluced as an appendix to the Environmental Report?

We would particularly like to review the macroinvertebratc, icthyoplankton, and fisheries sections.

The data pertaining to the fish impinged during the three-day period in March 1979, when water was pumped into the Midland Plant cooling pend, would also be of interest to us.

2.2.5.10 Pish Migration -

This section does not make it clear whether the high numbers of impinged yotn'g-of-the-year yellow perch were the progeny of a residential population, or from other areas. What steps or precautions can be taken to reduce the predicted high impingoent rates of yellow perch during the fall season?
