NRC INSPECTION REPORT NO. 50-259/93-37,50-260/93-37,AND

50-296/93-37

This refers to the inspection conducted by D. Thompson of this v/fice on

October 4-8, 1993. The inspection included a review of activities authorized

for your Browns Ferry facility. At the conclusion of the inspection, the

findings were discussed with those members of your staff identified in the

enclosed report.

Areas examined during the inspection are identified in the report. Within

l

these areas, the inspection consisted of selective examinations of procedures

I

and representative records, interviews with personnel, and observation of

activities in progress.

The enclosed Inspection Report identifies activities that violated NRC

requirements that will not be subject to enforcement action because the

licensee's efforts in identifying and/or correcting the violation meet the

criteria specified in Section VII.B. of the Enforcement Policy.

The material enclosad herewith contains Safeguards Information as defined by

10 CFR Part 73.21 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited

by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

Therefore, the

material will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
