Dear Jane:
I am writing in response to your August 3,1982 letter requesting the Staff to supplement the Byron Safety Evaluation Report to further consider finan-cial qualifications and the Byron Final Environmental Statement to further consider need for power and alternative energy sources in light of DAARE/
SAFE's July 30, 1982 petition for waiver of NRC regulations excluding these issues from operating license proceedings. This request has been considered by the Staff and a determination made that the requested supplementation is neither necessary nor appropriate. The Staff response to DAARE/ SAFE's August 3, 1982 motion to compel such supplementation will be filed with the Board on or before August 23, 1982.
