August 11, 1982 EN 82-19A 0FFICE OF INSPECTION AND ENFORCEMENT NOTIFICATION OF SIGNIFICANT ENFORCEMENT ACTION Licensee: Southern California Edison Company, Rosemead, CA Docket No. 50-206 San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station, Unit 1

IMPOSITION OF CIVIL PENALTIES - $60,000 This is to inform the Commission that an Order Imposing Civil Penalties in the amount of Sixty Thousand Dollars ($60,000) will be issued to the Southern California Edison Company today. This action is based on violations relating to positive access control to vital areas associated with the implementation of the physical security plan.
A news release will be issued about the time the licensee receives the Order.
The State of California will be notified.
The licensee has 30 days from the date of the Order in which to pay the civil penalties or request a hearing.
