Long Term Operability of Deep Draft Pumps (IE Bulletin 79-15)
As a result of its review of your response to IE Bulletin 79, the NRC staff has developed the enclosed request for additional information. This request was discussed with your representatives on July 23, 1932.
Please amend your operating license application by providing the additional information requested in the enclosure. Our review schedule is based on the assumption that this requested information will be available for an review by August 30, 1982.

Long Term Operability by Equipment Qualification Branch, NRC 1.
Provide a general description ofpump design and the performance characteristics of the pumps.
Provide natural frequenciss of the pumps, either estimated by analyses or measured by tests.

Discuss the approach taken for initial alignment and s.h' aft straightness during installation.
3.
Describe in detail as to how vibration data base will be established, in the lighd of the guideline provided in ASME Code Section XI, Division I.

Describe the acceptance test procedure prior to full power operation, as well as after repair and reassembly.

Describe the in-service surveillan~ce test procedure, including the vibration monitoring instruments used and their location.
