Applicants' Answer to Renewal and Reformation by CHANGE /ELP.
Applicants are in receipt of a "Brief Concerning Spent Fuel Transshipment," dated August 4, 1982, filed jointly by CHANGE /ELP and Conservation Council of North Carolina.
Applicants' position regarding this issue has been briefed at some length in." Applicants' Response to Supplement to Petition to Intervene by Wells Eddleman" (June 15, 1982) at 67-79, and was discussed at the Prehearing Con-ference (Tr. 176-182).
Furthermore, we understand that the NRC Staff may be filing a paper regarding the Staff's position on spent fuel transportation issues (Tr. 182-83).
Applicants plan to file a reply to both the August 4, 1982 Brief and the position taken by the Staff, if any, not later than August 31, 1982.
