,- Gentlemen:

On October 31, 1978, the Atomic Safety and Licensing Board (Board) issued a Decision on Motion for Summary Disposition related to the acceptability of the construction of a discharge diffuser for the Hartsville Nuclear Plant, Units A1, A2, 81, and 82. In that Decision the Board ordered that the construction phase monitoring plan be incorporated in the construction permits.

Enclosed are Amendment No. I to CPPR-150, Amendment No. 1 to CPPR-151, Amendment No. 1 to CPPR-152, and Amendment No. I to CPPR-153 which reflect the addition of the construction phase monitoring plart for mussels during discharge diffuser construction. Also enclosed is a copy of a related notice which has been forwarded to the Office of the Federal Register for publication.
