Subject:

Fire Protection System l

Dear Sir:

1 i

Af ter discussion with members of your staf f, we wish to make the following l

change in Exhibit 2, "Seabrook Station Fire Protection Program Evaluation and Comparison to ETP APCSB 9.5-1, Appendix A, Fevision 1, April,1982."

Exhibit 2 currently indicates that in the Fuel Oil Storage Tank Areas under the Diesel Generator Euilding, we plan to install a single automatic deluge system in each area, complete with ionization and thermal detection.

We plan to revise that inste11ation. We will install two redundant autcmatic deluge systems in each Fuel Oil Storage Tank Area. The detection will consist of a combination of smoke, heat, and flame detectors. A sketch of the piping layout for the two areas is attached here as are the revised pages of Exhibit 2.

We trust that the proposed change to the system will adequately respond to the concerns expressed by the Staf f during their review of the Seabrook Station fire protection systems.

Very truly yours, YllM J. DeVincentis Project Manager k
