This office has received a copy of your application dated October 23, 1978, for Amendment to Facility License No. NPF-3 which you filed with'the Office of Nuclear Reactor Regulation. The application proposes revisions to the Davis-Besse Unit No.1 Technical Specifications to reflect the proper surveillance frequency for venting the ECCS pump casings and discharge piping high points. Your application was accompanied by a Class II amendment fee of $1,200.
We have determined from our preliminary review that the requested action falls in Class III rather than Class II because it invcives review of a single safety issue which requires an amendment fee of $4.000.
You should forward the additional fee of $2,800 promptly to this c. rice.
Fees are payable to the U.S. fluclear Regulatory Commission by check, draft, or money order.
