This letter is to confim the agreements reached between Mr. William Cavanaugh III, Senior Vice President, Energy Supply, and Mr. John T. Collins, Regional Administrator, Region IV, in a telephone conversation on July 30, 1982.
We understand that you intend to take corrective action relative to the Early Warning System as stated in the following:
Required Action 1.
At approximately 1200 hours0.0139 days <br />0.333 hours <br />0.00198 weeks <br />4.566e-4 months <br /> on July 31,1982, the licensee shall commence a door-to-door canvass of all residences / businesses /
organizations within the 10-mile EPZ, but outside the area of siren coverage to provide EBS Tone Receivers to those groups of individuals who have not yet received an operable EBS receiver.

Response instructions will be provided with the EBS Tone Alert receivers.
For those residences / businesses / organizations wherein no occupants can be found, an EBS Tone receiver will be left with written operating and

response instructions and a telephone number provided for resolving l
questions.

The licensee shall use approximately 25 or more field teams so that the above steps will be completed expeditiously.
Agreed Upon Date of Completion i
Items 1 and 2 shall be accomplished by August 2,1982, and telephonically mported to the NRC, weather permitting access to all unpaved roads in the area of concern. Written confirmation shall be made by August 9,1982.
